Although Enginer went out of business a while back, we have spoken with suppliers and are now able to obtain replacement parts for Enginer PHEV systems.
Warranties are very limited and there is significant lead time on some parts, but feel free to call me and I can see what we can do for you.
On a related note, if you are throwing in the towel, and simply dismantling your current system, please contact me. I can remove your system and recycle/dispose of the parts properly.

A satisfied customer contacted me asking if he could write a review about our shop somewhere online. I set up a Yelp account for the business then and he posted this review:

The battery on my 2001 Honda Insight hybrid died and needed replacing. I found EV Powers through a hybrid car forum where he came highly recommended. I emailed them to ask about pricing, and he called me within 1 hour to respond to my questions. Eric Powers called me right away and was VERY informative and gave me several options for getting my car running again. Eric is extremely knowledgeable about hybrid cars and was willing to talk to me for a long time over the phone to answer all of my questions.
I decided to go with the option of having Eric replace the battery on my car with an upgraded (high capacity) brand new battery. While I had my car there I had Eric clean the EGR plate and check out several other issues I had with the car.
One thing I really appreciated was that Eric gave me an accurate itemized price quote ahead of time so that I knew what I could expect to pay for each service.
I live near Chicago so this was about a 2.5 hour drive for me to Madison, but was well worth the drive. I drove up in the morning and he had all of the work done by lunch time, as promised. During the install I used their WIFI to do a bit of work, and watched the car get worked on while I asked countless questions about hybrids and Honda Insight’s in general. The install went very smoothly and the car feels amazing to drive with the new battery.

Apparently the review was so good, that Yelp thinks it is spam and hid it. Interesting.
I have had several requests from owners of the Hymotion Plug in Hybrid (PHEV) system who are in need of the “Owners Manual”.
Since I am part of a team of independent installers who are still servicing these orphaned units, I thought it’d be helpful to post it to the EV Powers site for future reference.
